A very underrated band, Microdisney. How did they ever escape getting sued by Disney and made to change their name? I strongly suspect they were protected by their sheer obscurity. What if that megacorp were to become retroactively aware of the band? Would they sue them anyway? But there would be no one left to sue, since the band is long defunct. I mean the people in the band are still alive and everything but the band is no longer extant.
Obscurity is a good thing for bands. Sucks if you want your music to be heard though.
I miss the mid 80s. 1985 specifically. I miss Microdisney and the Associates, the Smiths and I don't know..Red Lorry Yellow Lorry?, the Weather Prophets?. I miss Janice Long and John Peel on radio 1 at night. I miss the Radio Tirana interval signal cutting over Bruno Brookes. I loved the Radio Tirana interval signal.
